I've been here multiple times over the years. My most recent trip was amazing
* Reasonable prices
* Friendly Staff
* Sushi tasted delicious
* A lot of variety
* Each roll had its own unique taste, they did not taste the same. -

I come here a lot. I've done all you can eat here a few times and I order take out probably 5-10 times a month. The reason why is it is very cheap. Better than vons sushi for sure and cheaper. But definitely would prefer getting all you can eat at other places although I still come here sometimes
UPDATED REVIEW..
came in here about 45mins before closing. They gave me the worst hand roll and cut roll I've ever received... was not happy with this at all. I would not recommend coming here in the evening.
Just gonna go else where for lunch today too :/ -

Very rude people! Never will go to this place.
They bring a wrong order for us and I tried the role and my boyfriend the other one and I was like I am sure I would not pick this role and when looked at the menu they brought the wrong sushi and when I told them we ordered the other one not this the waitress was like oh but you already ate 3 pieces.
Yes I ate the three pieces because I wasn't thinking you didn't bring the one I ordered.
For food, it's better u sit at home and eat rice than come to this pace. They make sure to use the least amount of good fish n feed u with rice and cheap crab.
Very disappointed and even if I starve will never go to this pllace. -

This place is average, little pricey but it is our go to place. The food is sent out quick and the service is good. When you go to a high end sushi bar you can taste the difference. Once exposed to high end sushi it is hard to go back.

I've tried probably a half-dozen sushi places throughout the Rancho area and Yatai beats every single one of them out in price, taste, and friendliness of the staff. Their happy hour goes for most of the day, making each roll less than $10, and they have options for either AYCE OR a la carte menu items. Makes it super convenient when deciding where to go because we aren't locked into AYCE when we want to get our "usual" rolls or there are only a couple of us and it's not worth the price bump.
Their specialty rolls are some of the most unique and best-tasting specialty rolls I've had without them being weird (what is it with most places exclusively having baked specialty rolls?). Their yatai and "coloured" rolls - the pink and orange - and to-die-for, and I have literally never had better octopus nigiri. I always come out of Yatai full, happy, and not feeling like I just spent my entire paycheck on the meal. I've brought my fiance, my friends, my siblings, my parents, my boss, and my coworkers here and they all love it. Whenever I'm in the Rancho area and getting sushi, I come to Yatai.
